Other Trail Projects

Grinnell, Iowa

CGA worked with the Grinnell 2000 Foundation and the City of Grinnell, to procure $190,000 ISTEA and TEA-21 funds for design and development of two miles of trailhead and trail. Segment 1 design began in the Spring of 2000. Future segments of this phased project will link Grinnell with Rock Creek State Park , the City of Newton and the Chichaqua Trailhead in Baxter.

Grundy County

CGA worked with the Grundy County Conservation Board on a feasibility study of three proposed trail routes to complete a portion of the Pioneer Trail east of Grundy Center

Gladbrook, Iowa

CGA worked with the Wolf Creek Nature Trail Committee in association with Tama County to develop, design, and construct Phase 1 of the Wolf Creek Trail on the west side of Gladbrook. The trail was federally funded with ISTEA and TEA-21 allocations.

Hardin County

CGA is responsible for survey, design, and right of way activities for a one mile trail south of the City of Steamboat Rock. This project was funded with ISTEA and TEA-21 funds and was completed in the Fall of 2001

Story County

CGA worked with the Story County Conservation Board to design and develop a 3.5 mile segment of the Heart of Iowa trail system. this project involved the conservation of abandoned rail corridor to parallel trails accommodating bicyclists and equestrian users.
