CGA Transmission Line Survey

In the spring of 2008, Clapsaddle-Garber Associates began a new project staking the relocation of transmission lines at the proposed new Alliant Energy power plant in Marshalltown, Iowa.  Since then, CGA has been surveying numerous additional projects in Iowa and Minnesota.  These projects include topographic survey of existing transmission lines, and construction staking of new structures.

An accurate and detailed topographic survey is a requirement for this type of project.  By using technology to bridge the miles, data is gathered and processed efficiently.  CGA offers expertise with the latest technology in its global positioning system (GPS) services.  GPS is extremely accurate, versatile, and the quickest method of collecting data.  Fewer man-hours are required to perform surveys, often reducing costs.

We have experienced construction surveyors that understand the demand for accuracy.  Our surveyors understand construction plans and specifications and are supported by experienced, professional management.

CGA has developed a reputation as a reliable company that provides accurate survey and associated services combined with dependability for five decades.  We are proud of our reputation, and pledge to be the professionals you can rely on.

CGA currently has four Professional Land Surveyors on staff:

   Joseph D. Falk, P.L.S. #15270

   Travis R. Stewart, P.L.S. #17162

   Matt D. Garber, P.E., P.L.S. #14449

   Kenneth D. Janssen, P.E., P.L.S. #8136

CGA has six survey crews utilizing Trimble and Topcon GPS and robotic survey equipment.  With our six full time survey crews, CGA would stand ready to provide immediate response for emergency powerline surveys, such as storm damage situations.
