UNI Institutional Roads

Reconstruction of 30th, 31st and Indiana Streets adjacent to married student housing on the University of Northern Iowa Campus was recently completed. The project was over-seen by the Iowa Department of Transportation and funded through their Institutional Roads program. Existing streets and sidewalks were removed and replaced with PCC pavement. Off street parking was nearly doubled without requiring the removal of a single tree along the entire project corridor. Associated storm sewer, lighting, signage, and landscaping improvements were also completed during the course of the project.
