Nick Brewer, EI, feels one of CGA’s core values that really stands out to him is creativity. Nick’s been with CGA since 2018 and is currently an Engineer Intern, with plans to pursue his PE licensure in 2022. His thoughts are captured below.
CGA has the flexibility and trust for me to develop my own design concept. Project Managers are open to new ideas and allow us to implement them. Actually, they encourage us to think outside the box.
Stormwater Management design comes to mind when I think about how I have used Creativity in action. I am working on a project right now where I am designing stormwater detention to go with the natural lay of the land and to look like something more than just a pond. I am incorporating natural vegetation such as prairie grass. Engineers and Planners have been a great resource to balance what we need and develop the aesthetic value of stormwater design.
Communication is another core value I see happening, or should I say hear! CGA has had exceptional communication since the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are using new software and it has greatly enhanced our interoffice communication. This communication has expanded our ability to have staff from various offices interact in developing our projects. I really feel a part of a great team!
