Lynn Scarlett, Ames Administrative Assistant, believes enthusiasm is the key to any job.
You have to be happy at work. If you aren’t, you can’t be enthusiastic. Part of finding happiness is coming together for things like broom golf, the Olympic sport we played. Everyone had a great time and showed their Enthusiasm by getting creative with the “brooms” and how to hit the golf ball. They actually kept the game playing field up for quite some time to play it to break up the day!
Team Work is another Core Value she sees occurring.
We have to work together. The key is to know everyone’s idiosyncrasies. Recently I was contacted by someone who needed to complete a task for someone in my office. I was able to help because I know how my coworker would want the task completed. It is great to know we can Work as a Team, even when key people are gone.
Of course, Family is always a Core Value that is at the top of the list too!
