The Ackley Library Board determined that the existing sidewalk and parking lot were severely deteriorated. In addition, neither were ADA compliant, which is always a concern for any facility. Based on this, the Board applied for grants to fund the replacement. After receiving one, we designed ADA compliant sidewalk and parking lot to accommodate library patrons regardless of their level of mobility. After completion, the community continued to support the project with the local FFA install retaining block and the bench being completed for an Eagle Scout project.
