Once the lots with existing road access in Ackley’s Industrial Park had sold, installation of a roadway became necessary to continue lot sales. CGA worked with the City of Ackley to complete a successful IDOT RISE application. This application funded up to half of the storm sewer and paving costs for the project. A roadway with teardrop turn around was designed to service the existing businesses and provide access to the remaining seven lots. The roadway design was urban section (meaning it has curb and gutter) for either concrete or asphalt, with asphalt being chosen as the preferred material to be constructed.
