CGA completed street reconstruction on five blocks of city street in Conrad Iowa to accommodate a new residential development on the city’s north side. The project design included an on-street bike lane, storm sewer reconstruction, reconstruction of 17 existing residential driveways, reconstruction of five intersections, design of ten new residential driveways; design of one new intersection, and ADA ramp improvements. Construction was phased over several seasons for budgetary purposes.
Our Construction Administration team will never forget this project; it was under construction during the infamous 2020 Iowa derecho storm. The crew had to take cover in their vehicles and one even helped a local family access their home after the storm, as it was inaccessible due to downed trees. One for the history books, for sure!
