Sean Williams, Celebrating Five Years, January, 2020
What is your first memory or a memorable project/experience at CGA?
Being the new hire, I was paired up with CGA survey legend, and now longest-tenured CGA employee, Scott Sorem. He had been working daily at the new power plant in Marshalltown and that is where I lived for about the first 2 years of my CGA career.
What’s been the most challenging part of your job?
Working with Dan and Troy….I only say it because it is true.
What’s been the most rewarding part of your job?
I have enjoyed learning the ropes of the survey world and take pride in seeing projects completed that I have had a hand in working on.
What has contributed to your loyalty to CGA for so many years?
I do enjoy what I do….most days. I think a lot of that has to do with getting to know the people I work with as a person and not just a coworker.
What’s something about you that we may not know (personal or professional)?
I have always had an interest in animals and at home I have quite a few bird feeders and houses. I’m not an avid bird watcher by any means, but if you are out in the woods with me it probably won’t take too long before I point out a bird and tell you some fact about it.
